Peas Pulav




INGREDIENTS:

2 Cups peas
2 Cups Basmati Rice
1 onion chopped
2 potatoes chopped (optional)
3 to 4 green chillies
Jeera/cumin seeds
Mustard seeds
Garam Masala ( or any spices u like to add as cardoman..etc)
Salt
Lemon
Curry Leaves
Ginger garlic paste
Cilantro/coriander Leaves

METHOD:

1.Wash basmati rice and keep it aside.
2.Heat oil in cooker , add jeera ,mustard, curry leaves, ginger garlic paste,green chillies, onion and fry for few minutes
3.Add peas and potatoes, fry until tender then add garam masala and salt
4.Now add basmati rice and fry for few minutes, then add water to cook
5.Garnish with lemon and coriander and serve hot with salad(kosambari).

Kosambari/ Salad

INGREDIENTS:

Yogurt
Cucumber finely chopped
Onion finely chopped
Grated carrot
Coriander/cilantro leaves
Salt

METHOD:

1.Mix all the above ingredients and serve .

We, Yashaswini and Jyothi who never entered kitchen and never knew how make a basic items to (not even coffee or Tea ;-)) before marraige now we are...well... say a good chef!!! We both were colleagues for one year at University of Mysore and our friendship still continues...even one is in US and other in Ireland.Far away...time difference...hmm..yet we both manage to chat and share recipes.
